Sangria is An Old Favorite
While sangria made its American debut at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, the origins of the drink date back to medieval times! It is suggested that the drink was created in Europe, from a previous drink that consisted of wine mixed with sugar and spices. Medieval Europeans often relied on wine to quench their thirst, as the water was dirty and riddled with bacteria. Eventually, someone thought that the wine they consume should taste delicious as well. By adding fruits, berries, and spices to the traditional wine recipe, sangria was born!
Lolea Sangria
Casa Lolea has a secret house blend that perfectly combines a quality base wine with natural ingredients and a frizzante touch. Lolea sangria is a ready-made cocktail, served in bottles both large and mini, and ready to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. The drink has no added sugars and contains natural and refreshing fruit flavors, plus has half the alcohol of regular wines.
The white sangria is made with the Mediterranean Clarea grape. A subtle hint of vanilla blends with essential lemon and orange citrus, resulting in a great balance between acidity and sweetness. The red version is made from a blend of tempranillo, cabernet, and merlot wines. The addition of orange, lemon, peach, and cinnamon makes a very silky and slightly bitter finish that is sure to please!
